UD-CCM wins $5.9M ARPA-e program

UD-CCM research teams have created the “TuFF internal WRAP for Rapid Pipeline Repair” (TuFF iWRAP) program, establishing a novel composite material feedstock and robotic placement process to fabricate stand-alone structural pipe within existing pipelines.

TuFF Materials

Researchers at UD’s Center for Composite Materials have created the world’s strongest short fiber composite material that can be stamped into complex shapes, just like sheet metal can be stamped, in less than one minute.

TuFF Material

World’s strongest short fiber composite material for metal replacement achieves aerospace properties, metal-like formability in zero-waste, fiber-to-parts pilot plant.
