MEDE Undergraduate Apprenticeships

The University of Delaware Center for Composite Materials (UD-CCM) is a member of the Materials in Extreme Dynamic Environments (MEDE) program.

The Materials in Extreme Dynamic Environments (MEDE) is offering multiple Undergraduate Apprenticeships opportunity sponsored by the
Army Research Office and is a part of the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP).

The Undergraduate Apprenticeships (UA) will provide eligible students an opportunity for;
– Paid research internship with a stipend of $15 per hour for up to 300 hours.
– Held during Summer of 2021 and under the guidance of a MEDE principal investigator (PI).
– PI will have the flexibility to conduct this internship on campus or virtually.

As part of the application process, a recommendation from a Materials in Extreme Dynamic Environments (MEDE) PI agreeing to host the applicant is required. UD-CCM MEDE PI’s are Prof. Jack Gillespie, Associate Prof. Bazle Haque, Associate Scientist Sanjib Chowdhury.
