cmap material input

  • Run CMAP and enter the appropriate Username in the username input.
  • Material properties are entered in the ‘Materials' section on the top area of CMAP. Click the Materials Tab to access this section.
  • Select the no. of materials you wish to use. In this example set this as 1 . (you will notice the table shrink in size for one material.
  • CMAP has seven materials built into it's material database library. Select S-Glass from the dropdown list as our material in this analysis.
  • Right of the Apply to Mat ID. Button there is an option to select which ID in the table to apply S-Glass to. Set this value to 1 .
  • Click the Apply to Mat ID button to put the properties of S-Glass in the first row of our table. We will return to this section to look at additional materials in later exercises.
  • Please note that the maximum number of materials that can be used in an analysis is currently set to five. Users can also modify any material property and see the results in real time.

 

  • (Users can load and save material (*.CDSMT) and database files (*.CDSDB) to CMAP. The databases are created in CDS-MAT and material files can be created within all CDS applications. Additional material files are available on the CCM CDS website)
  • (The View Sources button allows the user to see the material property sources)
  • Advanced: (The material selector for optimization section can be used for back calculations
  • Advanced: (The link indicator allows direct connection to CDS property generation programs or CDS-MAT)
