• The following pages will aid the user in creating and analyzing a simple laminate structure.
• We will start with a symmetric 12 ply 0.5 inch S-Glass laminate [0 ° /90 ° ] 3s and apply 1000lb in-plane tension in the x-direction.
• We will then replace the 0 ° plies with a GY-70 material and see how effective properties, stresses and strains change.
• Finally we will create a more complex laminate which incorporates the above laminate and a [0/90/+45/-45] 2s .
