Help on Accessing the CCM Intranet
The CCM Intranet http://www.ccm.udel.edu/CCM-Intranet/ should be accessible from any registered computer at the University of Delaware.
If you are having trouble accessing the intranet from on campus
- Check if your computer is registered for Internet access - for Windows NT and higher.
If you don't have Windows NT or higher, contact Jim Byrnes.
- Run CMD (select Run... from the Start Menu and type CMD)
- Type ipconfig. The IP address for your computer will be listed.
- Type nslookup and your IP address.
- If the name of your computer is listed, your computer is registered. If your computer isn't found, your computer isn't registered.
- IF your computer IS registered, and you are still having trouble accessing the CCM Intranet,
PLEASE contact Jim Byrnes.
As of September 2005, we have not had anyone report a problem accessing the CCM-Intranet from a
UD-registered computer. We would really like to know if this happens.
- IF your computer IS NOT registered, AND
- You are part of the CCM/ChE/ME community, get the CCM/ChE/ME form and you will be assigned an address from the CCM/ChE/ME address space
- You are part of another department, contact your department
- Your computer should be registered with a UD Roaming IP or DORMITORY address, please register on the Register Your Computer page.
- If you need to access the intranet from off campus and have a UdelNet ID,
you can use the UDel VPN service. Instructions for downloading and configuring
the needed VPN software on your
Windows or Macintosh system is found at
http://www.udel.edu/topics/connect/VPN/
