Undergraduate Research at CCM

CCM has a unique undergraduate research program in collaboration with the University Undergraduate Research Program that promotes cross-disciplinary education. Some 50 students are involved each year as CCM Undergraduate Research Assistants. Close to 500 students have participated in the program since its inception in 1980.

Students may participate through

  • The University's Science and Engineering Scholars Program
  • CCM's Summer Internship Opportunities
  • CCM Senior Research Fellowships
  • Employment as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at CCM during the academic year (beginning with the sophomore year) - generally follows a successful summer internship.

CCM offers industrial sponsors a student resume service and encourages undergraduate research assistants to acquire relevant industrial experience during the summer between their junior and senior years.
