Response Window: Thin Plate Solution showing stresses and strains

The results for a thin plate solution are presented in two graphs (or tables). Results presented with a thin plate solution include in-plane and shear global and principle stresses, strain and displacement results as well as factor of safety plots for maximum stress and maximum strain failure. Mechanical, thermal moisture and total (all summated) stresses, strains and associated factors of safety can also be viewed. Use the drop down boxes to view specific results. You can right click any chart or to save the data to the clipboard or load directly into Microsoft Excel©

Tip: You can select any laminate on the left menu tree during the simulation to see the structural response for that laminate.

The laminate resultants based on the applied loading can also be displayed. These include force and moment resultants as well as in-plane normal strain and shear strain as well as panel curvatures.
