Processing Response Window:

The processing-thermal section displays results relating to thermal or processing simulations. Results in the above window are for the 1D transient heating of a thick walled cylinder. The figure on the top left are the temperature and heat transfer coefficients for the inner wall. The figure on the bottom left are temperature gradients though the thickness and over time within the laminate. The figure on the top right is temperatures over time at the cursor location (from the bottom left figure). The figure on the bottom right are temperatures through the thickness of the laminate chosen by the cursor in the bottom left graph.
Moving the cursor in the temperature gradient chart will update the two right charts to show through thickness temperature gradients and temperature over time. Move the cursor to the far right will show final temperature gradients, moving the cursor to the top will show outer wall temperatures and vice versa.
The figure below shows results from a standard autoclave cure of an epoxy based laminate. The top left figure shows input conditions, the bottom left figure shows through thickness temperatures over time, the top right figure shows temperature predictions over time for the top, bottom and cursor position and the bottom right shows temperatures through the thickness at the start and end of the process as well as the cursor position.

Tip: You can select any laminate on the left menu tree during the simulation to see the thermal solution for that laminate.
